July 26th Pierce, Nebraska
Pierce County Fair

Hi everyone! We’re on our way home from the Pierce County Fair in Nebraska!
It’s been a fun trip. We left Saturday around midnight, did our show last night and then bussed out again. It’s been a long trip there and back but a relaxing one. Last night went really well! We got into Pierce around 3ish, and when we arrived, they were having a demolition derby! It was so wild to watch! They had a huge dirt pit arena and wow, the cars were smashed! It was a really cool hometown fair, with rides and the air smelling beautifully fragrant of carnival funnel cakes, hotdogs and grilled/ barbequed stuff. The weather was perfect too! After the derby later that eve, they rolled out the old flat bed truck and we did a down home kick butt show! People got a kick out of us and after the show they had fireworks to close out the festival with. We signed pictures, people’s shirts and foreheads! Ha! We’ll be heading up to New Paltz, NY. Next. Looking forward to it! Many thanks to the Pierce County Fair for having us, it was really neat and we felt really at home.

Freedom Festival Snowshoe, West Virginia July 17th and 18th 2009

Hello! We’re here in Snowshoe West “By God” Virginia! It’s so neat to be back in the wonderful hills. We got in yesterday around 11:30am, and got settled into our really neat rooms/condos at the Snowshoe Mountain Resort. It is so beautiful here and the hospitality can’t be beat. The Freedom festival is a huge biker event and man these people are here to party! We had a great show last night at the Expo Center here on site, and last night was extra exciting because it was the first sale night of our official album that is now out. Tonight’s show will be with Trent Tomlinson and that should be cool. We’ve been walking around quite a bit. It rained a little, but it didn’t stop us from taking in the vibe. There’s a cute little village of shops within walking distance of our rooms and they have a lot of ski/outdoor gear, food, coffee rentals etc. It has cooled off a little bit for today, but it’s still comfy, so I’ll probably go find a hiking trail somewhere. Hope not to see any bears out there!

We just finished our last show at Snowshoe! All I can say is what a blast we had! We had an awesome show and the people really seemed to dig us. Ha ha, Trenna had a “secret admirer”.., well, he made himself known during our show by dancing up close and personal down at the foot of the stage. Things didn’t get ultimately out of hand, but it was enough to make Trenna blush! Yea, Trenna blushed! Anyhow, all went well. We signed and met folks, and now we’re back here getting ready to bus out back to Nashville. What a great time this was, I really hope that they’ll have us again really soon. I think that we’ll all sleep really well tonight, our bus driver does a really good job handling these curvy West Virginia roads. I grew up driving on these roads proudly! I hope I can come back to them again soon. See you all in Pierce, Nebraska on July 26th.

July 12th 2009 Brentwood Corn Fest Brentwood, CA.
Hi everyone! It’s been a quick turn around for us this past week. We’re already back on a bus heading through my beautiful home state of West “By God” Virginia. We flew back in from Brentwood on Monday. Poor Trenna was pretty tired last night, she stayed behind in San Francisco to visit family, so she’d just flown in! We had an awesome time out in Brentwood for their annual 2009 Corn Fest. There was corn everywhere! People were “all ears” for our show too. Ha! Sorry, the jokes only get worse. They treated us to food, and afterwards we went exploring around the festival. I myself went running right for their car show they were having! Wow, there were some beauties there! Now those are cars! Also gracing the streets were many displays of arts, crafts, jewelry, hats and festival food! They had rides for the kids and there was another stage set up that had bands playing. The weather was perfect and that also made for a wonderful show evening. We had a wonderful time and our show went very well. After the show, signed autographs and took pictures. Then we got to go hang out with Trenna’s family at their lovely home and got out for some rocking sushi! We’d wished we had more time, but we had an early flight out, but we hope to come back out and take in more of the West Coast scene soon! We’ll be writing to you again soon!
