Visit to WWQM, Madison WI, WWMD and KHKI/KJJY Des Moines, IOWA

We woke up to freezing temperatures and snow flurries this morning in Madison, WI. !
It’s supposed to be spring!! Anyhow, we were off to our first stop, WWQM. What a cool vibe the station had. There were a lot of guitars hanging everywhere and a cool piano rug in the front lobby that we all dug, especially Becky. We had a really fun and entertaining visit on air with Mel Mc Kenzie, touching on everything from me getting a shocking experience from a lighting strike to Mel talking a lot of fun humor about her daughter and showing us the cool tattoo of a Libra sign in shape of an “A” on the back of her neck in honor of her daughter “Aliesha.” So happened her daughter had the same birthday as Becky’s son “Jaron” (Sept. 26th) We played two songs and they had us sign two guitars before running out.

WMAD New 96.3 Country Surprise!

We were rolling out and our tour bus was spotted! We were invited to stop by WMAD in Madison, WI. To see “The Hot” Tyler Reese, John and Tammy.
We had fun and I know a few times we had Tyler blushing!

After that we were back on the bus and heading out to Des Moines, Iowa. We probably had a 5hr. trip ahead of us, so we all got comfy and either watched T.V., wrote thank you notes or napped. We got into Des Moines and got a call that Andy Elliott (KHKI/KJJY), whom we were supposed to meet for dinner, was going to be unable to make it because his wife was having some labor pains! So, we called it a night and settled in at the hotel for the eve. We were up for an early morning and were supposed to visit KHKI/KJJY for the morning show anyway.
