Station visits with KHKI/KJJY, Des moines, Iowa,
Babies, Babies Everywhere!!

This morning started out pretty fast paced for us. Bus call was 7:20am, we arrived at the station and immediately they were ready to have us on air!
We grabbed our instruments and ran in. We met up with two extremely hilarious guys, Big John Mccoy and Eddie Hatfield. They were a trip and they had us laughing from the beginning til the end. We played a song on air and did some morning chat. Long after the interview, while waiting to go meet with Andy Elliott to do some one liners and grab some breakfast, we continued to make our presence known throughout the station by cutting up with the other station people and off and on popping our heads back into the morning show to pick on big john and eddie. Big John, we want to hear that tuba next time! Eddie, keep playing those rockin guitar licks!
We went and had breakfast with andy Elliott afterwards at a hometown place called Urbandales.
The pancakes were huge! We talked a lot with Andy and probably the main topic of conversation was about his anxiousness of awaiting for his wife to have the baby (anytime now!). Its going to be a girl and they’ve named her Ava Leone.
So about the time we were continuing our silliness by reciting lines from the childbirth portion of Bill cosby himself comedy video, Trenna received a wonderful call, her brother Craig, who lives out in Vegas and his wife Chrissy had just had their baby!
At 7:30am, 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 19 inches, Maxwell Allen Barnes was born!
Many congrats goes out to Craig and Chrissy Barnes on their new baby boy Max, and best wishes and blessings go out to Andy and is wife on their soon to be born baby girl Ava.

We pulled up to the station and were met by Craig Allen. We all then went into the station where we met Ritch Cassidy. We played a few songs on air and did a fun interview with Ritch. After the interview and tunes, we had the opportunity to meet Tom Goodwin as well. We all got to chat for a while and learned that for one Craig Allen of the station not only had the same name as Trenna's brother out in Vegas, but was also that he and his wife are expecting anytime now! Theyre going to be having a baby boy named sawyer. How neat is that?! Earlier in the interview, when we were asked who weve all had opportunities to work with, one of my honors had been brett Michaels of poison, some shows and recording on his record. Craig was eager to hear about it, being a huge poison fan that he is. We caught up with tom, craig and ritch (tritch, ha, I will not mention the reason behind this title for ritch, Ill leave that up to him) a little while longer and then we were on our way out. We mentioned lunch later on, and we hoped that all of the gents. Could join us. We were on our way to the next station!

Waitt radio network, Omaha, Nebraska

We moved onto waitt radio network to meet Jen Brown and play for her and others next.
Jen came out to the bus, along with norm, j.t., jeff, rod and Jackson, her son.
That was definitely the most people that we d ever had out for a bus show and we had a blast playing for them! We signed a bunch of pictures afterwards and then we were on our way to lunch. We had lunch at grandmas, Ritch and Craig from KXKT meet us!

When we finished the WAITT radio visit, it was time for lunch and we were all starving! We'd initially picked a Mexican place, however it was 3pm and theyd just closed for a few hours. So we ended up going to another place called 'Grandma's'. Craig and Ritch ended up coming over to meet us and we had a great time talking in more detail with them. We found out that Ritch is one heck of a guitar player and a parody writer. We want to hear some of that stuff, Ritch! Craig plays awesome harmonica, and loves poker and peppermint shnapps. They told us about their building being haunted and that theyd actually had ghost hunters there. We talked about more music and then we all had to go about our ways. We missed ya Tom! Wish you couldve made it! Hopefully next time!
Well, here ends another neat day! Were heading on to Kansas city, Missouri where we will finish up the Midwest and then fly home for one day then out again! See you tomorrow!
